First Priority Security Consulting is certified by the California Department of Consumer Affairs – Bureau of Security and Investigative Services to provide 40 hours of classroom training for Security Guards:
Part 1: 8-hour program of initial education that must be completed in accordance with the rules and regulations. Successful completion allows the student to apply for their guard card. $75.00

Mandatory and Elective Courses (16 hours)
Part 2: 16-hour program of continuing education that must be completed within 30 days from the date the security guard registration is issued. $40 per lesson

- Lesson 3: Mandatory: Public Relations (Community &Consumer)
- Lesson 4: Mandatory: Observation & Documentation
- Lesson 5: Elective: Advanced Arrests, Search & Seizure
- Lesson 6: Elective: Trespass
Part 3: 16-hour program of continuing education that must be completed within the first six (6) months from the date the registration card is issued or the day guard employment begins. $40 per lesson

- Lesson 8: Mandatory Liability & Legal Aspects
- Lesson 9: Elective Handling Difficult People
- Lesson 10: Elective Chemical Agents
- Lesson 11: Elective Preserving the Incident Scene
The Final Exam in each lesson must be completed with a 100% score in accordance with the rules and regulations.
