First Priority Security Guard Training is certified by the California Department of Consumer Affairs – Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) to provide 16 hours of classroom and live-fire training for Security Guards to apply for an Exposed Firearm permit.
Course Fee: $225 includes first firearm caliber – $20 each additional caliber qualification

Part 1: 8-hour program of education in the Powers of Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force

- Lesson 11: Range Training (firearms handling, shooting fundamentals)
- Lesson 12: Live Fire practice and qualification
The Final Exam for the exposed firearm is closed book and must be completed with a minimum score of 85% (45 of 52 answers)
The Live Fire qualification is a 50 round timed course of fire. It must be completed with a minimum score of 200 out of a possible 250. Five (5) points are allotted for every hit on a standard B27 target within the center mass (7 ring). (8 hours course credit)
