Firearms Instruction

Firearms Training and Safe gun handling is for everyone. Training from ages 10 and up for the Basic Firearm Safety Course to introduce your children to firearms and safe gun handling. Empowering citizens, regardless of socio-economic status, station in life, or zip code with the confidence and ability to confidently defend themselves, their loved ones, and the innocent from a life-threatening attack. All citizens should be prepared to exercise their lawful 2nd Amendment rights to self-defense whether inside or outside of your home. Water and snacks provided. We provide an affordable, clean, safe, Covid-19 aware secure environment for students to gain the knowledge, skills, abilities, and confidence to safely own and operate the firearm of their choice.

COVID-19 environment – Social distancing, training shields, face masks, gloves, shoe covers, hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, sanitizing wipes, and alcohol are available. The classroom and equipment are sanitized before and after each class.
Call in advance to schedule your class. Classes are limited to 1 to 6 persons for a firearms-related course.
Pre- Registration is required to ensure the seat in the class you want is reserved for you. Firearms courses are limited to 1-6 persons. (Study guides and course manuals provided).
Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms in a safe and locked condition.

All Firearm courses include:
  • 5-6 hours of classroom instruction (not including range time)
  • AirSoft simulation
  • One trip to a gun range for shooting instruction
  • A pair of protective glasses (choice of 6 frame colors) and Earplugs (for your range practice)
  • Firearms use ~ .22, .380, 9mm, .40, 12 & 20 gauge shotgun
  • Ammunition

AirSoft Simulation
AirSoft simulation firearms are utilized to evaluate and adjust the student’s shooting mechanics.  Airsoft  guns are designed, weighted, and operate as close to live firearms for target training
  • The AirSoft pistol incorporates pressurized CO2 and 6mm plastic bb’s, copper BB’s, and  .180 metal pellets for simulation shooting.
  • The AirSoft shotgun incorporates pressurized air in the pump shotgun and 6mm plastic  bbs
  • The AirSoft Rifle incorporates battery activated electric 8.4-volt firing system utilizing 6mm plastic bb’s
AirSoft simulation training prepares shooters for live-fire training experience by working on:

CALIFORNIA FIREARM SAFETY CERTIFICATE AND
FIREARM SAFE HANDLING INSTRUCTOR TRAINER

First Priority brings the complete class to your establishment

  • Certified Alternative Instruction course for all entities wishing to have their owners, managers, and employees become certified DOJ Instructors to issue the Firearm Safety Certificate test and conduct the firearm safe handling demonstration.
  • Provides the student with the qualification to apply for their Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
  • LIVESCAN Fingerprint service to immediately submit fingerprints to DOJ for the COE application.
  • Fingerprints must be done prior to submitting an application for COE. Students can apply for their COE on-line immediately. DOJ no longer accepts paper applications.

PRIVATE FIREARM INSTRUCTION

$85/hour

HOME INSTRUCTION

Groups of 1 -6 in Basic Firearms Safety, Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Basic Shotgun, and Personal Protection in the Home.  Call for appointment and fees. Personal Protection in the Home is designed and taught at the student’s home and provides personal instruction on the defense of your home and loved ones as well as the safe/secure response to Law Enforcement when they arrive (don’t be an “accidental” victim).

REFUND POLICY

Registration for Firearms courses is not refundable unless the course is canceled by the Instructor.  If you miss your selected course, contact First Priority to reschedule.

Failure to obey safety rules or any unsafe or unruly behavior will not be tolerated.  It will result in being removed from the class without the issuance of a refund.
